At Calacirya Foundation we believe that people are capable of helping themselves – sometimes we just need to be reminded that we do indeed have the power to improve our own lives.

With this concept in mind, Calacirya Foundation is always looking to inspire people to action. Whether you come from an impoverished indigenous family or were born into a life of luxury we all can look around and see something that needs to improve. The question is, "who has the courage to act?

Furthermore, at Calacirya Foundation we believe that people can better their lives while also protecting and nurturing the environment. In fact, these two things are inseparable. The idea that humans can continually take from the Earth without giving back is the very philosophy that has produced the pollution, epidemic disease and class inequity that is now accepted as the status quo.

Our community service projects are centered on human interaction, environmental awareness, and community involvement. Current projects are base on the fact that the health of a community reflects the health of the local environment and vice versa. Calacirya Foundation is caring for the health of families by caring for the evironment. Current projects include eliminating indoor air polution, contructing composting toilets, grey water filtration and recycling trash as building material.
