Horseback Riding   Classes are designed for individuals or groups according to their needs.  A focus is placed on increasing communication skills and team building (with the horse and other riders).  Using the horse as a catalyst, people can not only learn to ride better, but also learn more about themselves.  Classes are taught by Emily Webb, B.S. Equine Science, and well trained horses.  No previous riding experience is required.

Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung    Chi Kung or Qigong (Chinese yoga) is a blanket term used to refer to the cultivation of one's internal energy.  Exercises are aimed at promoting health and longevity.  Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan) is a boxing style developed in ancient China in which the single most abiding principle is that 'the soft overcomes the hard.  Thus, the principles of Tai Chi find infinite application in real life, while the movements serve to underscore this simple, profound philosophy.

Acupuncture/ Massage/ Nutrition   Gain a greater understanding of your body and health through treatments and/or classes focused on nutrition, body awareness, and the overall health of the individual.

Trekking   A variety of day and multi-day trips are available.  Whether hiking up and over mountains or peering into the mouth of an active volcano, Guatemala offers something for every hiker.

Mayan Ruins   Learn about ancient Maya culture on site. While there are many easily accessible ruins, one favorite option is Tikál (Guatemala). Here you can visit and climb extensive ruins nestled in amongst the jungle and jungle wildlife.  Over night trips are recommended for sunsets and sunrises from the peaks of the pyramids.

Other major ruins include Ceibal (Guatemala), Copán (Honduras), Caracol (Belize), Palenque (Mexico)

For those wishing to get off the beaten track, El Mirador (Guatemala) is an enticing option.  Hike or horseback ride 60 km through the Petèn jungle to sleep atop the tallest pyramid ever built in the Mayan world (measuring 60 meters high and 18,000 sq. meters at its base).  See the September 1987 issue of National Geographic Magazine, An Early Mayan Metropolis Uncovered: El Mirador, for more on this incredible site.
