The mission of Calacirya Foundation is to assist in bettering the lives of impoverished and underserved people while promoting greater cross- cultural understanding.

Championing the ideals of teamwork and self-empowerment, the Calacirya Foundation creates opportunities for people from different cultures to learn from each other through community service and experiential learning.

Though based in The United States, the current focus of Calacirya Foundation is "Planetary Medicine" in rural Guatemala. Affecting community health through environmental programs such as grey/black water management, solid waste education, housing improvement and sustainable building, Calacirya Foundation helps people to help themselves by caring for the environment.

To accomplish this end, programs are organized at our facility in San Marcos la Laguna, Sololá, Guatemala. These and other programs are sponsored by Calacirya Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation.
